"Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness...'" ~ Genesis 1:26a
This felt like an important reminder today.
We live in such crazy times.
Ads and newsfeeds and people we know and sometimes even random strangers and beyond tell each of us we should be somehow more, different, or better.
I just wanted to take this moment to clearly and succinctly say...
You are a masterpiece.
You were created in the image of the Creator of the universe.
Do we all have work to do? Sure.
But, no matter who you are, no matter where you are on this road of life, our Heavenly Father crafted you with intention. He made you exactly the way you should be, hair, eyes, skin, height, weight, talents, gifts, you name it. He made you you, and you are BEAUTIFUL.
I feel this so ardently, so adamantly right now. I just want to shout it from the mountaintops and ridgelines.
You are amazing.
You are gorgeous.
You are equipped.
You are empowered.
You are loved.
You are known.
You are seen.
And, you are HIS.
It really is as simple as that.
This day, I breathe deeply to the tips of my toes. I get still. And, I pray for you. All for whom this ever may come before.
All of His children, really.
You are an extraordinary work of art, formed by the hand of the Creator himself. And, I hope and pray you know it truly.
Dear Elohim,
I pray that this day and always, we would come to see ourselves as You see us.
Thank You for writing us into Your story, for filling us with the Holy Spirit, for making us Your own.
Thank You for sending Your Son to show us the way.
All these things we pray in Your most Holy Names.
Amen.
