"Wouldn't it be Fun to be an Heiress?"

"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!' The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ..." ~ Romans 8:14-17 (NKJV)

I was having a really really tough day the other day. I'm sure nobody can identify with that! ;)

One of my safe place refuge Spirit wells unexpectedly disappeared only to be replaced with a space that makes me vastly uncomfortable.

The realities of trying to juggle and handle oodles of learning curves all at once came crashing down.

And, you know how it is when you flex a new muscle and it's scary and painful, but you know it will be worth it because in the end you'll be stronger, but for the moment it's just awful? I was feelin' that in lots of ways.

I love my loved ones, but I was just having one of those days where I wanted to start over again somewhere in the middle of nowhere as an unknown.

No ties. Footloose and fancy free. I was very clear that I did not, do not, have the mental or emotional bandwidth for everything going on right now.

In conversation about all of this, someone said, "Wouldn't it be nice to be an heiress? To just go around the world making a difference in lives wherever you can, leaving a trail of sparkle, leaving the people and places you've encountered slightly better because of whatever you were able to offer?"

After a silly moment of letting the idea rattle around in my head, it settled into my spirit, that is precisely who we are.

As a child of the Most High, each of us is an heir/heiress to the Kingdom. And, we even get to live out/live in His Kingdom here on earth.

Doesn't taking a moment to realize that make you breathe deeply, breathe more easily and expansively down to the very tips of your toes?

Doesn't it make you inspire? I love to return to that again and again...

The word inspire means to breathe in, but a secondary meaning (though I have no clue where I picked up this little gem in my travels through life) is the immediate influence of God.

I could use a little bit of that these days.

He is there for us always, no doubt. But sometimes, we just have to inspire and receive. Oh, and, incase I haven't said it lately...

Thank You God, that we are able to do all things through Your Son, who gives us strength. Thank You, that He has the mental and emotional bandwidth for it all. Thank You, the He has all kinds of strength and He is willing to share it with li'l ol' me.

Heavenly Father,

I pray for the person reading this, no matter when, no matter why, no matter... I pray Your Peace over the bumpy areas of their life.

I pray when they take mindful moments to meaningfully inspire, they receive Your immediate influence.

And, whatever the path You have set for them in this world, I pray they are able to walk it out with a sense of ease and grace and the miraculous at every turn, in every moment.

May they ever know your blessings and the blessing of Your presence. "Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." Thank You, for standing with us in our faith and for ever growing our faith.

Thank You, for helping us to leave a little sparkle in our wake and to make a difference however we are able, wherever in the world we may roam, by Your power, in Your timing, Your way.

All this I pray, in Your Holy Names.

Amen.

"And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, 'Abba, Father.' Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are His child, God has made you His heir." ~ Galatians 4:6-7 (NLT)

"Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, 'The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”" ~ Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV)

"For it was not by The Written Law that The Promise came to Abraham and his seed, that he would be the heir to the universe, but by the righteousness of his faith." ~ Romans 4:13 (ABPE)

"I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me." ~ Philippians 4:13 (CSB)

May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, friends... always, in all ways. Amen.

Bonus song of praise...
