In such a time as this, it is critical for us to remember, He is sovereign. In such as time as this, it is critical for us to remember, we were created for such a time as this.
Sovereignty is a word that has weighed heavily on my heart and mind of late. It might be strange if it didn't, in some way or another...
It's easy to give lip service to the knowledge that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose...
Yet, in times like this, how often do seekers and non-seekers alike wonder where He is, how He can possibly be present.
Let's be clear, I don't pretend to have an earth shattering answer for you. All I can do is tell you, I truly do believe He is present in all things and every moment, assure you I see His hand at work in the most minute details; and point us to scripture.
Thankfully, that's the whole purpose of this endeavor, to point us all to Him and Him and Him, His Word, His promises, His strength and grace and Peace and joy, His way. But, I wanted you to know, if you're feeling those things and asking those questions... it's absolutely okay. You're human. God knows you better than anyone in the whole wide world and treasures every bit of you just the way you are, He made you that way and He loves you. He is there for you.
And, you're not alone... in either a divine or earthly sense.
It's amazing how much those little words...
God is good,
All the time,
And all the time,
God is good.
... can comfort me.
I pray these words, those words, and THE Word are able to comfort you now.
People are struggling, people are afraid, times are uncertain.
And, as people of the Light, it's our job to look to the Light and be the light in the world.
So, I pray great peace in your heart and lives and circumstances. I pray for the Peace that passes all understanding to ever radiate in your heart and mind, to express itself in your ways, no matter what you're facing today or what you'll face tomorrow. And, when we're human and we drop the ball (whatever that looks like,) for us all to have the grace and humility to turn to Him, once again, and begin again.
