"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope."
~ Jeremiah 29:11
Living your purpose has been a spiritual subtext lately in the conversations I've been having with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Honestly, I'm not sure if it's for me, or more for someone else. When I ask if I'm on the right track, if I'm up to what He would have me be up to, I feel like the answer is yes. Perhaps He's just shoring up my conviction, and to that, I praise, THANK YOU, GOD!!
How about you?
Are you walking in your Kingdom purpose, in at least one area of life? None of us are going to be in perfect lockstep with the Will of the Father 100% of the time...
Actually, I should probably take that back, because I think I know at least one person who is pretty darn close. But, if you're human like me, there will occasionally be detours in different areas. So, we notice, and we do something about it.
Raison d'être is defined in the English language, from French, as the reason (shocker) or purpose for the existence of someone or something.
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that refers to something that gives a sense of purpose to the life journey of the one living it out.
There are similar philosophies, perspectives, points of terminology, and conversations that have happened across borders across time.
We know God created you on purpose for a purpose. You know that God created you on purpose for a purpose.
So, walking in your Divine purpose, what is your purpose? What is your reason for being?
The Creator of the heavens and the earth gave you free will, so you get to choose. And, it is my belief that He has a path for us that is far greater than anything we could ever ask or imagine.
The way to find the answer to that is in prayer.
Even if you know the answer, spending time with the Father regularly in prayer to continue the conversation, to keep current on the path He would have you take, to ask Him to be a living, breathing, active part of the journey, is invaluable.
Explore with Him what you're good at, what you love to do, what the world needs, what the marketplace or mission field needs. Wander through that together and in the intersection, you will find the dance floor of your life.
And, LIFE is intentional. This is not just about career or mission, not just about family or relationship. When we look to anything here at Mustard Seed Moxie, it is always through a wholistic lens, or seeing something as one piece of a whole.
So, what did you enjoy most when you were a child?
In your most powerful memories, what emotions rise to the surface?
How does that impact your daily life?
What have been the greatest transitions of your life?
What strengths did those shifts nurture in you?
What brings you joy, happiness, and fulfillment?
What leaves you touched, moved, and inspired?
What piques a natural curiosity in you?
What could you do all day, every day, and never get bored?
What changes would you like to see in your life, your family, your community, or the world at large?
What could you see yourself doing to inspire that change?
And, the classic, what would you do if money was no object?
Perhaps journal on the questions. Dwell a bit. Are you there? Is that where you dance through life on a day to day basis?
Just a little food for thought.
Abba,
Thank You for helping us to know that whatever plan You have for us, it is far greater than anything we could ever ask or imagine. Thank You for equipping us for that journey. Thank You for helping us to surrender to Your way.
Thank You for helping your beautiful powerful child, the one reading this right now, to have the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the will to walk in Your Will, always, in all ways. Thank You for tuning their ears and eyes and hearts and minds to Your voice and guidance, for discernment, wisdom, and a gift of surrendering everything well and quickly over to you.
Thank You for guarding and guiding and protecting them in every breath, in every heartbeat, every single day of their life.
Thank You for helping us to be different, in You.
Amen.

"For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him." ~ Colossians 1:16
May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, friends... always, in all ways. Amen.
Bonus song of praise... ♥
