"Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
~ Lamentations 3:22-23
And so the sun sets on a month that not long ago was new... a month that began a new year... a month that started off with a powerful sense of change and promise and potential, rife with resolutions and resolution.
But, I'd ask you, why not live in that same energy of promise and potential and resolute can-do attitude each day?
If His mercies are new every morning, why not the fresh energy and strength and grace and peace He provides?
I was speaking with a lovely young lady the other day and she was telling me about her February challenge.
Translation: resolution for the month of February.
Maybe life is busy and so the idea of living in New Year's promise daily is a little much?
If so, perhaps you'd like to give weekly a try?
If not, maybe even monthly?
But, really, if that Resurrection Power lives in you, and I believe it does, then is anything too much to ask of the Savior? With Him in you, you absolutely can live in that can-do get-'er-done realm of existence day by day, even moment by moment.
You CAN do all things...
If it seems too much, with the various stresses and overwhelms of daily life, maybe just give those new mercies a test run with each dawning month and then grow as you go?
So, what's your February challenge?
How are you going to step just a little more into the child God is creating you to be as we transition from January into February and through the shortest month of the year?
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for helping us to remember to live out those new mercies with fresh strength and enthusiasm and grace and peace.
Thank You for helping us to remember that with You, all things are possible.
Thank You for helping us to live the truth of those words as we walk through this world endeavoring to become, every inch, the child of God You created us to be.
We love You. We choose You. We thank You.
Amen.
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." ~ Philippians 4:13
"Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it?" ~ Isaiah 43:18-19
"Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved." ~ Proverbs 16:3
May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, friends... always, in all ways. Amen.
Bonus song of praise... ♥
