A time to heal. A time to weep. A time to mourn. A time to embrace. A time to speak. A time to love.
"And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth..." ~ Acts 17:26 (KJV)
I've struggled of late with what to say, when to say, how to say, and even why to speak.
One of the people whose journey through all of this matters most to me suggested I not say a thing.
However, with the input of several others, it was concluded that no matter how small my audience, being someone with a platform, I no longer have the liberty to keep my peace.
I will be as concise and clear as I possibly can.
As a seeker of Truth, I believe in truth and justice... justice for all. And, while God is the ultimate Judge, there is earthly justice which must prevail.
I do not believe in tolerance. That word has always gotten under my skin. Tolerance is a bare minimum. Tolerance is not enough. I believe in true welcome and embrace of our fellow man, in authentic compassion. I pray for all people to be seen and heard and known and loved as the Creator created them to be. I pray for all people to know peace and safety here and now as well as eternal security and the Peace that passes all understanding.
I stand.
I stand for the voiceless.
I stand for the oppressed.
I stand for true equality/equity.
I stand for quality education and opportunity for all.
I stand for those who need someone by their side. Though I cannot stand in person for all in need, I do in spirit.
To the very depths of my being, I believe that's what God would have us do. As we endeavor to be ever more like the Savior, we become ever more the person who is able to truly love, know, appreciate, and embrace our neighbor.
I also stand for those generous of heart and integrity who protect and serve, as well as their loved ones.
These are unprescedented times in so many ways, yet we dance with shadows of the past.
We can do better.
We must do so much better.
Abba Father, I hardly know what to say. We need Your embrace. We need Your Peace. We need You to turn our face toward You, that You would heal each of us and heal our land. You know what is best far better than we do. We pray for Your protection over the brokenhearted. We pray for Your Will, Your Way. In the holy name of Your Son, Yeshua.
Amen.
"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." ~ Jude 1:24-25 (KJV)
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." ~ John 14:27 (ESV)
"No, the LORD has told us what is good. What he requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God." ~ Micah 6:8 (GNT)
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." ~ Ecclesiastes 1:3-8 (KJV)
May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, friends... always, in all ways. Amen.
A bonus song of praise... ♥
