"He is the one who planned this long ago." ~ Isaiah 22:11c (NLT)
What does your foundation look like?
We're two weeks into the new year... into 2020.
Remember that vision we discussed? I know you know that God has a plan and a purpose for YOUR life... for YOURS and YOURS alone.
There are things only you can do.
Yes, He will satisfy His purpose and plan with or without you. But, He created you on purpose for a purpose. Don't you want to live that out in vivid color? I certainly do.
One of my greatest fears is coming to the end of my days and having our Creator look at me and say... look who you could have been, look what you could have done... I SO VERY want to live as the child He created me to be... and if you are here, I'm guessing you want that as well. What's one critical thing we can do to ensure that? There are plenty of things we can do, but if I was going to choose ONE thing... HE MUST, MUST, MUST be the foundation upon which we build our house. That means knowing who we are as children of God.
That means being in constant communication with Him. What is your foundation? Who is your foundation?
I know today's is a short message, but if each of us take it to heart in whole, in all its simplicity, it can change absolutely everything.
It truly truly can. Heavenly Father, may we all know You. May You be our very foundation. May everything we do and say in this life, all we are, be built upon YOU. May we hear Your voice. May we know it as your sheep. May we have the will to walk in Your Way... ALWAYS... in ALL ways. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. AMEN.
"'Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.'" ~ Matthew 7:24-27 (ESV)
"If the Lord is not helping the builders, then the building of a house is to no purpose: if the Lord does not keep the town, the watchman keeps his watch for nothing." ~ Psalm 127:1 (BBE)
May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, friends... always, in all ways. Amen.
Bonus song of praise... ♥
